One of New Jersey’s greatest assets is its diversity. Unfortunately, New Jersey remains an economically and racially segregated state–meaning that not only are some people excluded from opportunity, but also that municipalities are missing out on the economic and social benefits of diversity. How can we use redevelopment as a way to achieve diversity and establish an equitable future where everyone can thrive? This session will explore strategies for incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion into redevelopment projects, including housing.
