Public art is an invaluable tool for thoughtful redevelopment. It can contribute to economic development, safety (painted crosswalks), and placemaking, while respecting a community’s history and culture. Unfortunately, it is not without its challenges. They will examine the challenges and triumphs faced along the way, including placing public art on public infrastructure.
