Liz Semple, Senior Planning Advisor represents NJDEP and Commissioner McCabe on the newly reestablished State Plan Commission. Liz is working with multiple partners to create guidance for communities on how to adapt to flood risks from climate change. Liz is working with Rutgers University and the Coastal Resilience Collaborative to produce the first Coastal Ecological Restoration and Adaptation plan that will identify priority ecological projects by region with the goals of sequestering carbon, enhancing ecological services, and/or improving community resilience. Liz previously lead multiple Department water, land use and planning and policy programs and efforts.
